Buses in Dubai provide a budget-friendly means to explore the city, offering extensive routes that span DXB and beyond. Whether an adventurous traveller or a seasoned resident familiar with the vibrant city, the bus service is accessible and dependable.
From DXB
Buses operate from dedicated stands located at Arrivals in Terminals 1, 2, and 3. For the most current routes and schedules, visit the Roads and Transport Authority(RTA) website.
Nol card
A Nol card is required to travel by bus, as cash payments are not accepted. Nol cards are available for purchase and top-up at airport terminals, metro stations, and select bus stations. This contactless card serves as your access pass to Dubai's entire public transport system, including buses, metros and even water taxis.
Frequency and timing
Buses operate at consistent intervals, minimising wait times. However, frequencies may differ depending on the route and time of day, so it's advisable to check the RTA website or app beforehand for accurate scheduling.
Accessibility
Dubai's public buses are thoughtfully designed for accessibility, featuring dedicated seating and boarding areas to accommodate guests with disabilities.
Connections
Buses connect with the metro, tram, and waterbus services, which provides convenient access to entire the city.
